🎨 Festival Gallery
📝 Introduction
Aikido, which does not require strong force, is the most suitable martial art for women.
📖 Details
Jujutsu is an ancient Japanese martial art, said to have been developed by samurai when they were unable to use swords or firearms. Aikido evolved from jujutsu and is widely loved in modern times for embodying the concept of "peace."
In Aikido, there is no notion of "defeating an opponent," and competitions that are seen as synonymous with "death" are not held. Aikido is not about determining a winner or loser; rather, it focuses on refining techniques to cultivate both body and mind, with the aim of elevating one's personal state.
Aikido does not involve offensive techniques; the emphasis is on "spiral movements." By using one's own spiral movements to evade an opponent's attacks, one can protect oneself and subdue the opponent. It does not require great strength, is not dependent on age or physical fitness, and can be learned by anyone, making it particularly suitable for women.
In the "Aikido Experience" at the Ishikawa Prefectural Budokan, in addition to guidance on etiquette, basic movements, and technique experiences, there are also demonstrations of martial arts.
