The江釣子 Shopping Center PAL is the largest shopping center in the southern region of Iwate Prefecture, featuring "Aeon," which sells food and daily necessities, along with approximately 80 specialty stores. For over 40 years, it has been loved by the public. This shopping center opened in 1981 and was one of the rare landowner-led shopping centers at the time. It hosts a wide variety of specialty stores, ranging from trendy clothing, groceries, gourmet food to entertainment. In the "Fresh Field," there are fresh seafood caught in Sanriku, as well as exquisite snacks and foods carefully selected from Iwate Prefecture and across the country, making it a great place for both locals and tourists to shop and explore. It features a "Children's Restroom" equipped with dedicated facilities for children, including changing spaces for diapers, and restrooms with spacious makeup areas; there are four different types of restrooms available for users to choose from, which are highly praised by customers. Located along the江釣子 diversion road, it is easily accessible by car from the Tohoku Expressway via the江釣子 interchange, and it has a parking lot that can accommodate 1,500 vehicles. If you visit on a Sunday, it is also recommended to take the free shopping bus that runs exclusively on Sundays.
