📖 Details

Established in 1789, this long-standing shop brings delicious sweets to the local community and tourists visiting 江之島 (Enoshima). Its signature item is the handmade 女夫饅頭 (Nyobo Manju) filled with generous amounts of homemade red bean paste. There are two flavors available: a brown manju made with special black sugar and a white manju that incorporates sake into the dough. The 江之島最中餅 (Enoshima Monaka), shaped like sea conchs, clams, and scallops, is also very popular. The sea conch shape is filled with red bean paste, the clam shape contains red bean bits, and the scallop shape is filled with sesame paste, allowing you to choose based on your preferred filling. The shop offers a rich variety of other products as well, including ice cream monaka with three flavors: vanilla, matcha, and sweet red bean, as well as handmade 銅鑼燒 (Dorayaki) printed with the 江島神社 (Enoshima Shrine) crest "三面鱗片" (Sanmen Rinkatsu).
