About Kobe Italian Restaurant Donnaloia
A traditional Italian restaurant in Kobe that preserves classic flavors.
Details
In 1952, Italian Giuseppe Donnaroya opened a restaurant in the Motomachi area of Kobe, which is said to be the first Italian restaurant in Kobe. Since its opening, it has long offered authentic Italian traditional dishes without unnecessary embellishments. In its early days, it was a popular social gathering place for foreigners, and later attracted many Japanese celebrities and food enthusiasts.
Currently, the second-generation owner and chef, Motonori Watanabe, has taken over. While inheriting the traditional flavors, he actively explores new ingredients. He fully utilizes the fresh appeal of seasonal ingredients to create bold and simple Italian cuisine. The restaurant features a calm atmosphere with deep red tablecloths, providing an elegant dining experience.
The lunch "Chef's Recommended Set" includes an appetizer, pasta, main dish, dessert, bread, salad, and coffee, offering a rich variety of dishes. The ladies' set, available only on weekdays, is also quite a value. For dinner, in addition to set menus, there are also à la carte dishes available.
