About L'ALA Matsumoto
A multifunctional complex sports facility built using green energy, featuring the largest heated swimming pool in Nagano Prefecture.
Details
L'ALA Matsumoto is a popular multi-sport facility that boasts the largest indoor swimming pool in Nagano Prefecture. The facility utilizes residual heat from the adjacent "Matsumoto Clean Center," harnessing the thermal energy and electrical power generated by the incineration facility for its heated swimming pool and bathing facilities.
The indoor pool maintains a comfortable water temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year. The wave pool, designed in a Mediterranean style, allows visitors to experience the sensation of real ocean waves during the "Big Wave Time." Additionally, there is a "Lazy River" that stretches approximately 180 meters, with parts designed to resemble a cave with varied formations; there is also a children's area featuring a 25-meter pool and two water slides. It is the best facility in Nagano Prefecture for enjoying water activities, despite being landlocked.
The bathing facilities, which are perfect for relaxation or soothing daily fatigue, are highly recommended. There are large baths for both men and women, a sauna room, and a scenic bath with views of the Northern Alps. Furthermore, indoor facilities such as tennis courts and a gym are also available, catering to a wide range of recreational needs from casual exercise to formal training.
