🗺️ Nago Pineapple Parkナゴパイナップルパーク

Opened in 1992, this park is themed around pineapples. Here, you can see pineapple fields, colorful flowers, and lush plants that grow densely like a jungle. Through lectures and materials related to pineapples, you can learn more about the history of Okinawan pineapples. The pathways are lined with flowers and trees, and you are surrounded by plants in every direction, making you feel as if you are in a jungle. Upon arriving at the park entrance, you will find the shuttle bus, the "Pineapple Train," which is designed with pineapple patterns and is loved by both adults and children. Additionally, you can take a ride on the cute pineapple-shaped vehicle, the "Pineapple Car," to tour the park. The vehicle is self-driving and moves at a slow pace, allowing you to enjoy the surrounding scenery in detail. The park features several photo spots. In the center of the pineapple field stands a giant pineapple monument, and along the pathways, you can spot various Okinawan guardian deities, such as the "Okinawa Shisa." Searching for photo spots while walking adds to the fun. In July 2022, a rare distillery opened that produces pineapple brandy made from pineapple wine. It sells locally grown pineapples, Okinawan citrus, sugarcane spirits, and pineapple brandy chocolates, as well as jellied desserts made from Okinawan fruits.

Initially started as a pineapple specialty store. In the souvenir area, you can sample desserts made from pineapple, and tastings of pineapple wine are also available. Parking is free.
