Nakanobu Shopping Street extends from "Ebara-Nakanobu" Station to "Nakanobu" Station, with a total length of about 300 meters. This arcade shopping street, which began in the early Showa period, is located in the heart of the city but offers a leisurely shopping experience, earning it the nickname "Skip Road," which is beloved by locals. Being a covered shopping street allows visitors to enjoy shopping without being affected by the weather.
Within the shopping street, there are around 130 diverse shops, including fresh food stores like meat shops, fish markets, and fruit and vegetable stores, as well as cafes, restaurants, clothing stores, grocery shops, and clinics. Additionally, the "Nakanobu Sleep Demon Festival" and "Nakanobu Night Festival," held in late September each year, alternate every other year and are popular festivals that bring vitality to the entire shopping street.
