Nasu Onsen Town is a group of hot springs centered around the oldest onsen in Tochigi Prefecture, Nasu Yumoto Onsen, which was discovered about 1,400 years ago. Eight hot springs are distributed along the slopes of Mount Chausudake in the northwest part of Nasu Town. Each onsen has different water qualities and effects, allowing visitors to enjoy the unique characteristics of various hot springs. According to historical records, notable figures such as Minamoto no Yoritomo and Nichiren also visited this area for its hot springs, proving that Nasu Onsen Town has been a famous hot spring destination since ancient times.

There are also unique lodging facilities that utilize Mongolian yurts.
