About Nintendo Museum

A museum that explores and experiences the history and charm of Nintendo through exhibitions.

Details

The early Nintendo Uji Ogura factory has been renovated and will open as a Nintendo public relations facility on October 2, 2024. This museum allows visitors to learn about Nintendo's history and its commitment to quality through various exhibits. First, there is a floor showcasing numerous products sold by Nintendo throughout its history. From the "Famicom" (Family Computer) to the latest "Nintendo Switch," the sight of all the historical hardware game consoles and software lined up is truly spectacular! Toys and everyday items also attract significant attention. The experiential exhibition floor features many interactive displays that use modern technology to recreate the entertainment games Nintendo has launched in the past, including "Okyu Hyakunin Isshu," home game consoles, "Ultra Machine," "Ultra Hand," and light guns, allowing visitors to relive the fun of those days. This area requires tokens (10 tokens) issued with the admission ticket. The number of tokens needed for different experiences varies, making it difficult to decide which one to try. Hanafuda cards are the origin of Nintendo, and paid experience courses are available to learn more about Hanafuda. Visitors can color Hanafuda cards by hand or play Hanafuda games under the rules explained through light projection. After entering, applications can be made at the service desk or experience counter. Additionally, a store selling official merchandise and museum-exclusive items, along with a café where hamburger ingredients and toppings can be customized, are quite popular. Tickets must be applied for in advance, and only those selected can purchase them. The facility does not have a parking lot, so it is recommended to take a taxi or public transportation to get there. *The information above has been confirmed by the official source.*
