Osaka Dome (Kyocera Dome) was completed and opened in 1997, making it the third dome baseball stadium in Japan after Tokyo Dome and Fukuoka Dome. It currently serves as the home ground for the professional baseball team Orix Buffaloes. This is Japan's largest domed stadium, with a maximum capacity of approximately 55,000 spectators. In addition to hosting official professional baseball games, it is also used for concerts and various other events, serving as a landmark in the western part of Osaka city. The second floor of Osaka Kyocera Dome features the "Stadium Mall," where visitors can enjoy dining and shopping. The professional baseball merchandise store "Bs SHOP" not only offers Orix Buffaloes merchandise but also sells official goods from the Japan Professional Baseball inter-league games and baseball cards. Additionally, there is a museum showcasing the history of the baseball team and a "Handprint Gallery," where you can see the handprints of professional baseball players and singers who have brought immense joy to the audience. The third and fifth floors are retail areas that operate only during baseball games and events. Here, you can enjoy famous snacks from Kyocera Dome, such as the 30-centimeter-long "Itemae Hot Dog" and chicken skewers called "toribo." On days when there are no professional baseball games or other events, the venue offers a guided tour called "Dome Tour" (ドームツアー), which allows visitors to explore areas that are usually off-limits, such as the field, benches, and batting practice areas. You can also see bats, balls, and bases used by players, and take a cool photo holding a bat, just like a professional baseball player.
