🍜 Shimanouchi FUJIMARU Brewery

📝 Introduction

Fresh wine directly transported from our own winery, paired with exquisite Italian cuisine for a wonderful experience.

📖 Details

Osaka has a history of over 140 years of grape cultivation and is one of the famous grape-producing regions in Japan. There is a culture of winemaking in Osaka, with some wineries operating for over a century. The "Shimanouchi FUJIMARU Winery," which opened in 2013, is not located in a vineyard but is an urban winery situated in downtown Osaka. The winery primarily uses grapes harvested from its own vineyards in the outskirts of Osaka to produce a variety of original flavored wines. It also offers tours of the winery (though tours may be unavailable at times due to ongoing winemaking activities). The philosophy of Shimanouchi FUJIMARU Winery is to "bring wine into everyday life." On the second floor, there is a restaurant where guests can taste wines directly delivered from the winery while enjoying a menu of Italian-inspired dishes that pair well with the wines. If you're unsure about which wine brand to choose, you can seek advice from the resident sommelier. The wine restaurant operates from noon for lunch until dinner, offering a variety of delicious dishes and classic wines. Additionally, the winery's online store sells a variety of wines, so if you find a wine you like, you can purchase it to enjoy at home or as a gift.

⭐ Highlights

Located in the city center of Osaka's Minami district, this urban winery is quite rare in the world. In addition to selling wines produced by its own winery, it also offers a selection of carefully curated wines from both Japan and abroad. There is a restaurant on-site where you can enjoy creative Italian cuisine. Various wines are also available for purchase in their online store.
