Shimoda Park is located in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture. From the park, one can overlook the cityscape of Shimoda and the natural beauty of Shimoda Harbor. In spring, there are azaleas, in early summer, hydrangeas, and in winter, the camellias bloom abundantly on the branches. It is particularly famous for its hydrangeas. Every June, about 3 million hydrangeas bloom in the park. During the "Hydrangea Festival" held during the blooming season, the park is always filled with crowds of flower admirers, making it quite lively. From the observation deck, visitors can also enjoy the spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

(1) About a 20-minute walk from Izu Kyu Line "Izukyu-Shimoda Station." (2) Take a bus from "Izukyu-Shimoda Station" to "Shimoda Aquarium," and after approximately 5 minutes, get off at the "Hydrangea Park" stop (※ The bus only stops at this station during the Hydrangea Festival from June 1 to June 30).
