"Ashotei" is the closest shop to the observation deck at the summit of Mount Takao, offering meals such as soba noodles, oden, and miso dengaku. Located next to the observation deck, one of its major attractions is the ability to enjoy the view from inside the shop on clear days. In addition to the famous "yamaimo (mountain yam) soba" from Mount Takao, the "slippery mushroom soba" topped with a generous amount of slippery mushrooms and mountain vegetables is also highly recommended! The rich broth paired with the firm, thick soba noodles, combined with the aroma of mountain vegetables, will sweep away the fatigue of hiking.
