🍜 Starbucks Shinjuku Gyoen Store

📝 Introduction

Enjoy the moment of being captivated by the beautiful scenery in a café immersed in the lush greenery of Shinjuku Gyoen.

📖 Details

Shinjuku Gyoen, built as an imperial garden during the Meiji era, was opened to the public as a national park after the war. The Starbucks that opened in March 2020 is the first privately-owned store within Shinjuku Gyoen. Entering through the "Sendagaya Gate" of Shinjuku Gyoen, the Starbucks located behind the central pond features a design that seamlessly connects the ceiling with the eaves, blending harmoniously with the seasonal natural landscape. The interior space also adopts a sustainable café design, using domestically sourced Japanese wood for the walls, ceiling, counter, tables, and all visible areas, creating a stylish yet warm atmosphere. To take advantage of the garden's scenery, special features such as a large glass installation and unique seating arrangements have been thoughtfully designed. The building, constructed along a slope, has seating arranged by the windows, allowing every seat to enjoy the beautiful view. On clear spring and autumn days, spending leisurely time on the outdoor terrace or benches adds a touch of elegance.
