🍜 Tamagoya

📝 Introduction

The exquisite egg fried rice uses fresh eggs delivered directly from the chicken farm.

📖 Details

The egg farm established in 1925 (Taisho 14) opened a specialty store for egg rice bowls in front of the World Heritage Site, Himeji Castle, to allow more people to "taste the original deliciousness of eggs." Not only the eggs but also the rice and vegetables are made from locally sourced ingredients produced by the farm, ensuring safe and healthy cuisine. The "egg rice bowl" enjoyed in the store uses the carefully raised "Yume Yuki Tamago" from their own farm. The way to eat it is up to personal preference, but the recommended method is to create a small space on the hot white rice to place the egg, drizzle it with their special egg rice bowl soy sauce, and then crack a Yume Yuki Tamago on top. The set comes with pickles and miso soup, and the best part is that you can refill the eggs and white rice as much as you like. There are also additional toppings available, such as sweet miso, seasoned nori, and the famous Himeji old hen, which can be chosen according to individual taste. Additionally, there is the "special Tora-maki thick omelet" made with freshly collected eggs in the morning, and the "Meidai Tora-maki Tamago Unagi Rice," which pairs thick omelet with grilled eel from Awaji. All the dishes mentioned above are also available for takeout.
