The founding store of Kagoshima's soul food "Shirokuma." Shirokuma is a dessert made by drizzling a secret milk syrup over shaved ice, decorated with raisins and fruits. The dessert was conceived by the store's founder in 1949, and the arrangement of the toppings looks like the expression of a polar bear when viewed from above, hence the name "Shirokuma." The freshly shaved ice offered by the store has a delicate texture, with the refreshing sweetness of the homemade milk syrup and a vibrant color that lifts the spirits, available year-round. In addition to the classic Shirokuma (750 yen), which is decorated with bright ingredients like cherries and oranges, there are now up to 13 different flavors introduced in recent years. Among them, the chocolate Shirokuma (900 yen), which has a bitter taste and rich texture, and the luxurious Uji Kintoki (900 yen) made with Uji tea are highly recommended. It's worth mentioning that all flavors of Shirokuma come in a large size, with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of about 18 cm. If you're worried about finishing it alone, it's recommended to order the smaller BABY Shirokuma.

The "Shirokuma" introduced by the shop in 1949 is now the most popular shaved ice in Kagoshima. The finely shaved ice melts in your mouth, paired with a refreshing sweetness from the homemade milk syrup, making it truly exceptional. Various flavors are available, including chocolate and Uji tea.
