About Tōgaku Mountain Fruit Park

A collection of 17 orchards and hundreds of tropical and subtropical fruit trees!

Details

Opened in April 1980, Higashiyama Fruit Park is located at the foot of Higashiyama Mountain in the northeastern part of Nagoya City. It is an agricultural park surrounded by nature. Within the park, there are 17 orchards that grow common fruits such as pears, apples, and grapes. The tropical fruit greenhouse houses hundreds of tropical and subtropical fruit trees, including bananas and coconuts. The greenhouse gives visitors a feeling of stepping into a jungle, and you can also see rare fruits in Japan like jackfruit and lychee. On weekends and national holidays during the fruit harvest season, activities such as apple and citrus picking are held. The harvested fruits are weighed and priced, so remember to bring your own bags for the fruits or shopping bags (※ plastic bags are available for a fee). The restaurant and shops offer juices and desserts made from the fruits harvested in the park, and you can enjoy a picnic on the spacious grassy plaza or relax in the fishing area. This place is also a well-known spot for viewing weeping cherry blossoms.
