🛍️ Thatched Village Noda Store

📝 Introduction

The tourist service center, which also serves as a local shop, is the first stop that must be visited when coming to the thatched-roof village.

📖 Details

"Noda Shoten" is a local store in Miyama Town that provides essential items for the local residents. Although it temporarily ceased operations, it reopened in 2024 as a local store combined with tourism services called "Kayabuki no Sato Noda Shoten." With the management philosophy of "connecting" visitors with the local community and "connecting" thatched roofs with the future, it is dedicated to activities that protect the village landscape. The store offers tourist brochures and organizes sightseeing introductions within the village, making it a recommended first stop for visitors to Kayabuki no Sato. In addition to selling everyday items such as snacks commonly purchased by local residents, the store also features hand towels and pens printed with images of the thatched landscape, created by the artist Hiroyuki Niimichi, who runs the "Little Blue Art Museum" in the village. There are also original design merchandise such as pins and magnets themed around "Kayabuki no Sato," which are popular gifts among tourists. These products are part of the "Kayabuki no Sato Support Merchandise," and a portion of the sales will be used to maintain the landscape of Kayabuki no Sato and support preservation activities. To help preserve this beautiful original Japanese scenery, we encourage you to make a purchase.
