🎎 Three Kingdoms Fireworks Festival

📝 Introduction

15,000 dazzling fireworks light up the night sky, a summer tradition in Fukui.

📖 Details

The summer fireworks festival held at "Sangoku Sunset Beach," adjacent to Tojinbo and Oshima. Featuring a maximum of 2-shaku-dama (2尺玉), musical fireworks, and rapid-fire displays, 15,000 fireworks will adorn the midsummer night sky in a splendid spectacle. The grand "water fireworks" are a must-see highlight! "Water fireworks" are a highly challenging display method where the pyrotechnicians ignite the fireworks and directly launch them into the sea from a boat, creating beautiful semi-circular bursts. Every year, the fireworks are handled by the skilled pyrotechnicians from the Ina Fireworks Shop in Nagano Prefecture, who have won numerous awards at major fireworks competitions in Japan. The specially designed artistic fireworks for the festival are also a major highlight. The largest 2-shaku-dama aerial fireworks can be launched to a height of 450 meters, bursting into a diameter of 450 meters in the sky, with a peak height reaching 675 meters. Using a firework ball called "Nishiki Kamuro" (錦カムロ), the visual effect is spectacular, almost appearing to fall onto the surface of the sea. The fireworks festival will launch 15,000 fireworks within 60 minutes. The grand finale, the "Zaihatsu Randan" (齊發亂打) fireworks show, is not to be missed, featuring simultaneous rapid-fire fireworks and shaku-dama, creating a dazzling scene. There are two designated viewing areas: Sangoku Sunset Beach, the launch site, and the Kuzuryu River Boat Park across the river. It is recommended to enjoy the beautiful and enchanting fireworks from the first-class seats.
