Yume Kaze Plaza is located within Nara Park, home to wild deer, in front of Todai-ji, famous for its Great Buddha. It is a commercial facility consisting of 11 restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to world heritage sites such as Kasuga-taisha, Kasugayama Primeval Forest, and Kofuku-ji, as well as tourist attractions like the Nara National Museum, making it an ideal resting spot during sightseeing in Nara City.
Yume Kaze Plaza features 11 shops including cafes, restaurants, and specialty gift shops, all themed around "spreading the beauty of Nara's cuisine and lifestyle." They offer a variety of Nara-themed delicacies, as well as snacks and products made from local ingredients and specialties. Among them is the "Daibutsu Pudding," which contains a lot of Yamato tea; "Kakinoha Sushi," which consists of vinegared rice shaped into rice balls topped with sea bream or salmon, then wrapped in persimmon leaves; and desserts made from the famous Yoshino specialty "kuzuko." Additionally, there are crafts made from the well-known "Nara Sarashi," including bags and book covers.
The plaza features a path leading to Todai-ji, allowing visitors to enjoy a leisurely walk while taking in the natural scenery of Wakakusa Mountain.
