📜 Restaurant Details
Located in Naha's "Tsuboya Yachimun Street," there are several shops selling traditional Okinawan ceramics known as "Yachimun." "UCHINA Chaya BUKUBUKU (うちなー茶屋ぶくぶく)" is situated right in the center of this street.
The sign features the "BUKUBUKU tea (ぶくぶく茶)," which is said to have originated during the Ryukyu Kingdom era. It is also known by the nickname "Fukufuku tea," a beverage served to guests during celebratory occasions. This tea is made by whisking a mixture of white rice, brown rice, and jasmine tea to create a frothy brew that is aromatic and has a smooth taste. There is no specific way to drink it; you can enjoy the bubbles along with the tea or scoop the bubbles with a spoon to eat them.
Additionally, you can choose your favorite style from a variety of unique Yachimun cups to enjoy freshly brewed organic coffee roasted over charcoal, or try the "Golden Latte," which is made by mixing fresh milk with turmeric, ginger, and cane sugar powder. Each drink has its own distinct characteristics.
The shop also features a gallery space that displays and sells Yachimun tableware created by local artists, as well as Ryukyu glass cups.
