🗺️ Ukima Park (浮間公園)浮間公園

Located in the Itabashi Ward of Tokyo, Ukima Park is a park that stands by the pond and is symbolized by a windmill. In the center of the park lies Ukima Pond, where visitors can enjoy the fun of fishing. Surrounding the pond are approximately 150 cherry blossom trees of the Somei Yoshino variety, with vibrant tulips adorning the Windmill Plaza. In spring, the beautiful scenery created by the windmills, cherry blossoms, and tulips comes together to form a breathtaking landscape. Additionally, a large area of cherry blossoms known as sakurasou blooms in the agricultural land to the east of the park, attracting a large number of flower watchers each year. The park also features sports and playground facilities, ensuring that both adults and children can have a great time. During the summer vacation period (from mid-July to the end of August), the park opens a water play area called "Shabu-Shabu Pond," allowing children to have fun splashing around. Furthermore, there are many sports facilities and playground equipment, such as baseball fields and tennis courts, where adults can also find enjoyment.

The cute windmill is a symbol of the park. Visitors can enjoy free fishing for common carp and crucian carp, among other river fish. The primrose blooms in mid-April each year (open to the public only during the primrose blooming season). At the north end of the pond is a botanical garden dedicated to protecting aquatic plants. You can observe wild birds around the pond.
