📖 Details

Located in the historic Kyoto Muromachi, a once-thriving area for kimono wholesale, is the renowned Chinese restaurant "膳處漢Pocchiri 京都 (Zezekan Pocchiri)." The restaurant has been transformed from a kimono merchant's townhouse built in the early Showa period, featuring a Western-style entrance that leads into a unique Kyoto townhouse interior. The most famous dish here is the "Sauce Pork Bun," which is only sold during the four days of the Gion Matsuri festival, attracting long lines every year. The signature dishes include shark fin and Peking duck. The most popular lunch option, "Shark Fin Beauty Set," includes nine side dishes, shark fin noodles or shark fin rice, and dessert. For dinner, there are four set menus available, featuring delicacies such as braised shark fin, oven-roasted Peking duck, and soft-shelled turtle porridge. In addition to set menus, a la carte options are also available. Dining seating includes tables overlooking a green courtyard, as well as large banquet rooms and private rooms to accommodate various dining needs.
