About Akigawa International Trout Fishing Ground
A fishing spot by the stream in nature, where beginners can fish with peace of mind.
Details
Located in the suburban area of Tokyo, the rich natural resources of Akiruno City provide a fishing spot that utilizes natural streams. In the Akikawa Valley, surrounded by nature, fishing can be easily enjoyed by children, women, and beginners alike. A large number of trout are released in the morning and afternoon, allowing beginners to catch fish and receive high praise.
The fishing primarily uses bait, but there are also areas for lure fishing with artificial baits, fly fishing with flies, and other methods. Services include the rental of fishing rods and the sale of bait, so generally, there is no need to bring your own fishing gear. Additionally, a unique feature of this fishing spot is that visitors can bring their own ingredients for barbecuing. There is also a service to process the caught rainbow trout on-site. Rental barbecue equipment is available, and ingredients and firewood are sold, allowing guests to enjoy barbecuing without needing to bring anything.
The most popular dish at the attached fishing lodge cafeteria is "Kabayaki Trout Rice." The trout is soft and juicy on the inside, with a perfectly grilled, fragrant exterior, paired with a slightly sweet soy sauce. The "Salt-Grilled Trout," grilled by professionals, is also a delicious specialty.
Highlights
One ticket allows the use of one fishing rod, with a maximum catch of 10 fish (catch and release is prohibited). You can bring your own ingredients for barbecuing without the need for a reservation (you must purchase tickets for at least 70% of the total number of people). Trout will be released twice, in the morning and afternoon.
