Details
Located in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, Amanohashidate Kasamatsu Park offers a breathtaking view of Amanohashidate, one of Japan's three scenic views. Situated 130 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mount Nariai, it is easily accessible from Fuchu Station at the foot of the mountain via the Amanohashidate Cable Car or chairlift.
Upon arriving at the park, the first sight that greets you is the spectacular view of Amanohashidate, resembling a dragon soaring into the sky, which is why it is also known as "Shoryu View." This location is famous for being the origin of the "Kurasaka View," where viewing Amanohashidate from between your legs creates an illusion of a bridge suspended in the air. It’s worth trying this unique perspective for a different experience.
Inside the park, there is "AmaTerrace," where you can enjoy the stunning view of Amanohashidate while dining and shopping. The restaurant on the second floor, with its glass-enclosed design, allows you to spend a graceful moment surrounded by the vast ocean and the scenery of Amanohashidate. On the first floor, you can find various local delicacies made from ingredients such as "Kasamatsu Dango" made with Tamba Koshihikari rice and homemade sausages made from Kyotanba pork. Additionally, there are many well-known local products from the Tango region available for purchase as souvenirs.
