📜 Content

The market is famous for its "DIY Seafood Rice Bowl (Aomori NOKKE Don)," where you can choose your own seafood toppings and pile them high on a bed of white rice. The ingredients available in the market are primarily fresh seafood freshly caught from Mutsu Bay. In addition to seafood, the handmade tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) and fish bone soup made by the stall owners' wives are also very well-known. Aomori's unique processed foods, such as nemuri-zuke (sleeping pickles) and fermented herring sauce, are also highly recommended. Not only are there various toppings for the DIY seafood rice bowl, but there are also many takeout items that are a must-buy. The market is about a 5-minute walk from Aomori Station, making it very convenient for transportation. If you are driving, please note that there is no dedicated parking lot at the market, so you should park in a nearby paid parking lot. Since the DIY seafood rice bowl cannot be taken out, it is recommended to enjoy it in the resting area within the market.
