A scenic spot named for its resemblance to the views of Arashiyama in Kyoto. At an elevation of about 250 meters, there is the "Arashiyama Observation Deck," which offers beautiful views day and night, making it a very popular attraction. The surrounding "Arashiyama Park Center" has well-maintained hiking trails, making it an easy place for leisurely walks, loved by people of all ages. In winter, visitors can enjoy walking with snowshoes. From the observation deck, one can overlook the city of Asahikawa, making it an extremely popular spot for night views. It is also the best viewing location during city events such as fireworks festivals, attracting large crowds during these times. Within the park, there is a facility called "Ainu Culture Forest - Inheritance KOTAN," aimed at preserving and passing on Ainu culture. It recreates the Chise (traditional Ainu houses) from ancient Kotan (the Ainu word for tribe) and displays ritual implements, hunting tools, and everyday items.
