About Asakusa Hanayashiki (浅草花やしき)
The oldest amusement park in Japan, constantly evolving while preserving its long history.
Details
Asakusa Hanayashiki, located in the sightseeing-rich area of Asakusa in Tokyo, is Japan's oldest amusement park. Its history dates back to the Edo period in 1853, boasting over 170 years of history.
The park features a variety of both new and vintage attractions. In addition to the "ROLLER COASTER," which is said to be the oldest surviving roller coaster in Japan, and nostalgic rides like the "Panda Car®" and "Carousel," there are also 17 attractions including the "Ninja House" for children, "NinNin PARK," which opened in 2019.
From the Sky Plaza on the fourth floor, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Asakusa, making it a popular photo spot. Guests are allowed to bring their own bento into the park, making it a great place for families and couples to spend a leisurely time together.
A new area was opened in July 2023, which includes a fresh haunted house themed around Japanese ghost stories, three new attractions, and dining facilities. Asakusa Hanayashiki is poised to become an even more enjoyable amusement destination.
