About Awaji Island National Akashi Kaikyō Park
You can gaze at the vast ocean and flower fields! A park with excellent views, beautiful floral scenery, and amusement facilities.
Details
The Akashi Kaikyō National Park consists of two areas: the Awaji area and the Kobe area. The concept of the Awaji area is "seaside recreational space." It is mainly divided into a viewing area built on green hills; a cultural exchange area filled with numerous flowers, trees, and recreational spaces; and a coastal area serving as a place for entertainment and leisure. The charming floral beauty is the park's most attractive feature. Awaji Island enjoys a warm climate year-round, allowing visitors to see various flowers, trees, and plants blooming in competition with the changing seasons at any time of the year. The park, which offers excellent views, also features several themed viewing spaces. Among them are the "Waterfall Viewing Platform," where seven waterfalls can be seen along the path; the "Earth Rainbow," decorated with countless fresh flowers; and the "Sky Viewing Platform," which provides a panoramic view of Osaka Bay, all of which are must-see highlights.
In addition, the Akashi Kaikyō National Park on Awaji Island also includes large playground equipment measuring 130 meters long and 14 meters high, as well as a maze-like children's forest and a large lawn plaza, ensuring that both adults and children can have a great time. After playing, visitors can also dine within the park. You can enjoy a picnic in nature, taste various dishes made with Awaji Island ingredients at the "Hanayashiki Restaurant," or enjoy a barbecue at the BBQ area (reservations are required for BBQ). The park shop sells soup packets, seasonings, local beer, and other local specialties made with Awaji Island onions, making it very convenient for purchasing souvenirs.
