🗺️ Chinen Misaki Park知念岬公園

Chinen Misaki Park is located in the southern part of Okinawa Prefecture, in Nanjo City. Situated at the front of Chinen Misaki, which juts out into the Pacific Ocean, it is a breathtaking viewpoint that offers a 250-degree panoramic view of the sea. The expansive coral reefs and the gradient sea that transitions from emerald green to cobalt blue are stunningly beautiful. From here, you can see the uninhabited Komaka Island surrounded by white sandy beaches, as well as Kudaka Island, known as the "Island of the Gods." On clear days, you can also catch a glimpse of Tsuken Island and the Katsuren Peninsula to the northeast. The park features walking paths with lush green lawns, perfect for a leisurely stroll in the refreshing sea breeze. There are also traditional Okinawan-style pavilions with red-tiled roofs, where visitors can take a break on the benches. In the morning, the backlight can be quite glaring, so it is recommended to enjoy the sea view between 11 AM and 2 PM. This place is also a popular spot for New Year's sunrise, attracting many visitors to watch the sunrise. Nearby, you can also visit the sacred site of Sefa Utaki, the best site of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which is worth a visit as well.
