The science museum founded by the Toshiba Group allows visitors to enjoyably engage with science through interactive exhibits.
Details
The Toshiba Science Museum, founded by the Toshiba Group, is a science exhibition hall themed around "the interaction between people and science," where visitors can joyfully learn about advanced scientific technologies. It is conveniently located next to the large commercial facility "LAZONA Kawasaki Plaza," which is directly accessible from JR Kawasaki Station.
Inside the museum, visitors are greeted in the "Welcome Area" featuring a large screen, and there are three different themed exhibition zones introducing scientific technologies. The "History Zone" showcases the evolution of the company and displays numerous electrical products that Toshiba pioneered in Japan and worldwide. The "Future Zone" allows visitors to understand Toshiba's advanced technologies through hands-on exhibits, primarily applied in everyday infrastructure systems such as electricity, railways, elevators, and escalators. The "Science Zone" offers fun scientific experiences through static electricity demonstrations and superconductivity experiments. Science performance shows themed around everyday science have also received widespread acclaim.
Inside the museum, unaffected by weather conditions, even those who find science challenging can enjoy themselves. Additionally, the chronological display of Toshiba's historical products, being Japan's first comprehensive electrical manufacturer, is quite spectacular. It is a free attraction that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from adults to children.
