📝 Introduction

Take a break amidst the delicious local sweets of Ise.

📖 Details

"Panju" is a local snack that has been well-known among the people since the Meiji era in the Ise region. The fragrant outer skin is filled with a generous amount of filling, and its simple flavor is loved not only by locals but also makes it a must-try snack when visiting Ise Jingu (伊勢神宮). The shop's signature "Yokodori Panju (横丁盤珠) (red bean paste filling)" is characterized by its rich seaweed aroma and melt-in-your-mouth texture. The elegant sweetness of the inner red bean paste pairs perfectly with the fragrance of the seaweed. The outer skin is made from flour sourced from Mie Prefecture, while the red bean paste is made from Hokkaido adzuki beans. Additionally, seasonal limited flavors such as matcha red bean paste or chestnut red bean paste are also offered. The shop is also popular for its rich vanilla ice cream made from Hokkaido fresh milk. Furthermore, the unique "Ancoro Mochi Matcha Ice Cream," which combines a blend of matcha and vanilla ice cream with red bean paste and warabimochi (羽二重餅), as well as ice cream made with fresh strawberries in spring, are exclusive items that can only be enjoyed at this shop.
