🗺️ Dalian Friendship Memorial Hall (Formerly International Friendship Memorial Library)大連友好記念館（旧国際友好記念図書館）

Kitakyushu City and Dalian City in China have historically maintained frequent connections through international routes. The Dalian Friendship Memorial Hall was built to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the friendship between the two cities. This three-story building, with its brown and white tiled exterior, beautifully contrasts and is a complete replica of the "Eastern Qing Railway Steamship Office" built by the Russian Empire in Dalian in 1902 (Meiji 35). The chimney and the decorative windows on the roof are also quite distinctive. On the first floor, the Chinese restaurant "Dalian AKASHIA" offers authentic Dalian cuisine at affordable prices. The second floor features an information area about Dalian City and a communal space for citizens and tourists to relax, which is open for free use. This building is one of the retro structures in the "Moji Port Nostalgic District" around JR Mojiko Station. Many tourists often visit nearby attractions such as the "Moji Port Nostalgic Viewing Room," "Blue Wing Moji," and "Idemitsu Museum of Arts, Moji" as part of their trip.

Originally known as the "Kitakyushu City International Friendship Memorial Library," it was in use until 2018. The complete replica of the "Tōshin Railway Steamship Office" has garnered significant attention. The first-floor restaurant "Dalian AKASHIA (大連あかしあ)" offers a rich variety of lunch options.
