"Dogo Onsen" is mentioned in the "Nihon Shoki" (Chronicles of Japan) and is said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan, as well as a popular tourist destination representing Ehime Prefecture. According to legend, a white heron with an injured leg was healed at Dogo Onsen.
