Dogo Shopping Street is located next to the Dogo Onsen Honkan and is also known as "Dogo HAIKARA Street" (meaning fashionable shopping street). This L-shaped arcade street, approximately 250 meters long, connects Dogo Onsen Station and Dogo Onsen Honkan. Dogo Onsen Station is the terminal station of the Iyo Railway tram line.
A variety of local specialty shops and dining establishments line the street, offering an array of dazzling products that can overwhelm the senses. After enjoying the hot springs at Dogo Onsen, changing into a yukata and taking a stroll here is a unique pleasure of the hot spring town. The shopping street also features many distinctive attractions. For example, the "Shōya Clock Tower" plays pleasant music at designated times, with characters from the novel "Shōya" performing in sync with the cheerful melody. Additionally, there is a small path called "Kūchū Sanpōdō" that offers an overhead view of the entire town.
