About Fujiko F. Fujio Museum
Perfectly presents the wonderful world created by the Japanese manga artist Fujiko F. Fujio.
Details
The Fujiko F. Fujio Museum was established to commemorate the Japanese manga artist Fujiko F. Fujio, who created many well-known works such as "Doraemon" and "Ninja Hattori-kun." It is located in Kawasaki City, where Mr. Fujiko lived for many years. The museum features various themed exhibitions that take visitors into the beautiful realms of "dreams," "the extraordinary," and "childlike innocence" depicted throughout the artist's life. The museum includes original artwork exhibitions that are exclusive to the museum, and a small theater that screens original cartoon shorts by Mr. Fujiko. The café within the museum offers meals themed around manga characters, and the museum shop sells a variety of original merchandise that can only be found here.
Highlights
The exhibition hall features 200 original manuscripts by Fujiko F. Fujio, deepening the understanding of the history of Doraemon. There is a display of the desk that Fujiko used while working. In the "Manga Zone" within the museum, visitors can freely read all of Fujiko's manga works. In the "Everyone's Plaza," there is a model of "Nobita's House" scaled down to one-fifth of its original size. The rooftop "Open Space" showcases scene models, including the familiar concrete pipes beloved by Doraemon fans, making it an ideal photography spot. In the gift area "Fujiko's House," local specialties like "Dorayaki" are sold, while various original merchandise can be purchased at the store on the first floor.
