The Fukuoka Life Journey Museum is themed around the "Journey of Life," showcasing the evolution of life on Earth and the history of human existence. It employs an engaging and educational display method to provoke thoughts and visions about future living.
The museum is centered around a main street featuring exhibition halls like "Earth Mall" and "Culture Mall," with various exhibition rooms scattered around, creating an experience akin to strolling through a large shopping center while enjoying the grand displays. In "Earth Mall," visitors can see skeletal specimens of dinosaurs such as Brachiosaurus and Stegosaurus, with their impressive scale leaving one in awe.
Among the highlights not to be missed is the "TIME TRAVELLING ROOM (エンバイラマ館)." The moment you enter the cave at the entrance, you embark on a time travel journey to the Mesozoic era, stepping into an adventurous world full of intrigue. Passing through a lake bed recreated with CG animation, where ancient fish swim, the nesting site of a Pterosaur, and a forest inhabited by robotic Mesozoic insects, you are presented with a 360-degree immersive model simulating the Cretaceous period in Kitakyushu. This model features dinosaur robots like Mamenchisaurus and Tyrannosaurus that move realistically, along with plants, insects, and small animals. The environment is enhanced with lighting and imagery to create a nighttime scene, allowing visitors to experience the natural environment of the Mesozoic era as if they were truly there.
Particularly noteworthy are the special exhibitions that the museum holds periodically, so it is recommended to check the official website for exhibition information in advance.
