Details
Introducing the history, culture, and nature of the Kanmon Strait Museum. In 2019, it underwent a large-scale renovation, transforming into an exhibit-rich experiential facility that allows visitors to explore the museum through all five senses.
Inside, there are several fascinating exhibition areas, including the "Strait Experience Zone," where visitors can patrol the Kanmon Strait and simulate steering to experience the lives of the strait's residents, and the "Nostalgic Strait Street," which recreates the streets of the Taisho era. Notably, the giant screen "Strait Atrium" set up in the atrium from the 2nd to 4th floors plays videos about the nature and history of the Kanmon Strait, creating a spectacular and awe-inspiring experience. After visiting the museum, continuing your journey will surely enhance your appreciation of tourism in the Moji area.
The 4th-floor promenade deck, designed like a luxury cruise ship and featuring a cruise café, offers a magnificent view of the Kanmon Strait, as does the 5th-floor observation deck. The "Strait Children's Plaza," filled with climbing nets, resembles a play area and is very popular among children.
