About Hakata Gion Tetsunabe Gyoza
Juicy dumplings served hot from a sizzling iron pot, allowing you to savor the famous local delicacies of Hakata at a well-known restaurant.
Details
Fukuoka's famous dish "Tetsunabe Gyoza" is said to have originated from a snack stall in Hakata. The well-known Hakata Gion Tetsunabe is the original store of "Maru Tetsunabe Gyoza," where small gyoza dumplings are arranged in concentric circles in a hot iron pan and evenly heated to perfection.
The signature Tetsunabe Gyoza is enough for 2 to 3 people. They are pan-fried to a crispy golden brown, releasing an enticing aroma, and when you take a bite, the juicy filling bursts out, making it addictive. Although the flavor is rich, the addition of chives gives it a refreshing taste, making it a favorite among locals. It is enjoyed with spicy homemade chili oil and yuzu pepper made exclusively from Kyushu yuzu, offering a variety of flavors.
The freshly pan-fried gyoza, which retains its warmth and aroma, is handmade for both the skin and filling. Only fresh ingredients purchased every morning can present the best flavor. In addition to gyoza, there are several other dishes such as "Nikudori" (braised chicken wings in a special broth), "Karashi Mentai" (spicy cod roe), and "Potato Salad," making it very convenient to dine as an izakaya.
