🗺️ Hamana Lake Flower Park浜名湖ガーデンパーク
About Hamana Lake Flower Park
A nature urban park surrounded by lakes and a sea of flowers.
Details
Utilizing the site of the 2004 Hamana Lake Flower Expo, the urban park is located at the tip of a small island on Hamana Lake, surrounded by water and rich natural greenery, making it a prime location.
Covering an area of 56 hectares, equivalent to 12 Tokyo Domes, the park is divided into three areas: the Block Area, the West Area, and the Village Area. The entire park is mainly focused on the Block Area, which features a water play area, a children's plaza, and sightseeing boats, creating a lively atmosphere. The Flower Plaza showcases seasonal flowers, with pink butterfly flowers in spring, sunflowers in summer, and Persian daisies in autumn. There is also a 50-meter tall observation tower that offers a bird's-eye view of the floral patterns on the ground and the overall layout of the garden park, as well as a distant view of Hamana Lake.
The West Area includes a green space plaza, while the Village Area features international gardens styled after China and England, along with the Hyakuhana Garden, the Flower Tree Garden, and the extremely popular "Flower Art Museum," where visitors can see a variety of beautiful plants. Additionally, there is a bicycle path that allows for a complete tour around the perimeter of the park.
The park is designed to be accessible, allowing visitors using wheelchairs or strollers (available for free rental) to enjoy the park with peace of mind, making it a fun place for everyone from young children to the elderly to spend an entire day.
