🗺️ Heimokugawa Riverside Cherry Blossom Avenue (Saitama Prefecture)
🎨 Attraction Gallery
📝 Introduction
A cherry blossom viewing spot with 232 Yoshino cherry trees.
📖 Details
Along the banks of the Kurokawa River in Asaka City, there is a 700-meter-long promenade that locals use for walking and jogging on weekdays. However, from late March to early April each year, a large number of visitors flock here to witness the beautiful sight of 232 Yoshino cherry blossom trees blooming on both sides of the riverbank.
Particularly noteworthy is the unprecedentedly popular "Kurokawa Cherry Blossom Festival" held every year. Food stalls offering takoyaki, yakisoba, German sausages, and ice cream gather here, allowing visitors to indulge in delicious treats while also purchasing local specialties. Additionally, various activities are organized, from canoeing experiences to concerts and dance performances, ensuring fun for everyone from the elderly to children.
For those who wish to enjoy the cherry blossoms in a quieter atmosphere, it is recommended to come in the evening to view the illuminated cherry blossoms. Approximately 200 lanterns softly light up each blossom, creating a dreamy ambiance. Although it is spring, it can get chilly at night, so it is advisable to prepare a hot drink in advance.
