Designed to resemble a fisherman's work shed called "Ban’ya," the building houses about 30 shops that provide unique dishes famous for their rich culinary offerings in Himi. The local delicacies from each shop are a feast for the eyes. Recommended dishes include sushi made with seafood delivered directly from the fishing port, melt-in-your-mouth premium Himi beef rice bowls, Himi curry flavored with small dried fish, ramen infused with the aroma of Himi sardine broth, and the beloved local dish "Himi Udon," which has been cherished since ancient times. There are also various shops like fresh fish markets and dried fish specialty stores, perfect for picking up souvenirs. The area features the "Himi Onsen-kyo Sōtō," a natural hot spring with flowing source water for single-use bathing. It opens at 7 AM on weekends and national holidays, attracting not only tourists but also many locals. The free foot bath, set amidst the surrounding natural scenery, is also quite popular, making it a great spot to relax and take a break during your journey.
