About Ise Bay
It is the venue for the Ise-Shima Summit and also a breathtaking scenic spot in Ise-Shima National Park.
Details
Agu Bay is famous for its beautiful ria coastline, with 60 islands of various sizes floating within the bay. It is also known as the production area for "aosa," or green laver, by the locals, and there are several hotels where you can enjoy unbeatable sea views. From the bridge connecting the island of Kashikojima, which served as the venue for the Ise-Shima Summit, transportation is quite convenient.
From the Yokoyama Viewpoint (Yokoyama Sky Café), which is 140 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a stunning view of Agu Bay, especially the sunset painted in orange and red hues. You can also grab light snacks from the café. At the visitor center located below the viewpoint, there are explanations about the natural environment of Ise-Shima National Park, traditional culture, and the ama (female divers) fishing industry.
Nearby the Yokoyama Viewpoint, there are also the Mihara Viewpoint and the Breeze Terrace, both offering beautiful scenery. Walking paths have been established around the viewpoints, allowing for leisurely strolls among the lush forest.
Highlights
