About Jimanya Naha Store
In a uniquely charming old residence, savor the rare Okinawan breed of pork and Awamori.
Details
Jimanya (じまんや) is a unique old-style restaurant that has been transformed from a 50-year-old standalone house. It features luxurious dishes made from the Okinawan breed of pig raised on pineapples, known as "Pineapple Pig Pure," along with Okinawan specialties such as stir-fried bitter melon, fried noodle gluten, island fuki soba, and tofu dishes.
One standout dish is the "Ultimate Pork Chop [Revised]," which features thick-cut pork loin grilled to perfection, showcasing the deliciousness of "Pineapple Pig Pure" with a simple cooking method. Its elegant sweetness, rich meat juices, and tender texture are truly exceptional. The signature "Collagen Shabu-Shabu" uses a special broth simmered for 9 hours from pork bones, rich in collagen, allowing diners to enjoy both the loin and belly cuts of "Pineapple Pig Pure," making it a great value. It comes with a generous serving of fresh vegetables, perfect for two people. Pair it with the restaurant's special citrus vinegar sauce or savory salt to enhance the flavor of the pork.
The restaurant also offers a selection of awamori, carefully chosen by a certified "Awamori Master" from Okinawa Prefecture, as well as a variety of awamori from 47 selected distilleries in Okinawa.
