About Jindaiji Natural Hot Spring Yumorinosato (深大寺天然温泉 湯守の里)
A natural day-trip hot spring with a design that incorporates feng shui, where you can warm your body in black thermal water.
Details
Located in Tokyo's 深大寺 (Daihij), the day-return hot spring facility is renowned for its high-quality onsen (hot springs). The natural hot spring emerges on its own, with a salt concentration similar to that of the human body, making it very easy on entry. There's no need to dilute with extra water; you can simply step into the bath at this concentration. The特色 (feature) of 湯守之里 (Yumori no Sato) is the surprisingly black color of the water, which is due to the rich accumulation of organic substances known as "humic acid," derived from a large amount of kelp and ferns found at a depth of 1500 meters underground. Here, you can enjoy various types of hot springs including open-air baths and cold baths, as well as rock baths and saunas. Another unique aspect of its design is its careful consideration of feng shui.
※ Guests wearing diapers, with tattoos, or under the influence of alcohol are not allowed to use the baths.
Highlights
In the pitch-dark hot springs, the energy of Feng Shui can heal the accumulated fatigue of daily life. There are also body massages and beauty salons available. The restaurant serves local specialties like the soba noodles from 深大寺 (Shindai-ji). There are free shuttle buses from Keio Line's 調布 (Chofu) Station and JR Line's 武蔵境 (Musashisakai) Station.
