About Kanazawa Port Cruise Terminal
The cruise terminal, designed with the concept of "creating vibrant popularity for Kanazawa Port," is also a beloved spot for local residents.
Details
The cruise terminal is the waterway gateway to Kanazawa Port, with numerous tourists coming and going every day. It serves not only as a hub for cruise ships but also aims to "create a vibrant atmosphere for Kanazawa Port." The terminal features multiple experience zones and hosts various events, allowing both cruise passengers and local residents to enjoy themselves.
On the first floor, there is a CIQ area for customs checks, immigration checks, and quarantine procedures, as well as a waiting area displaying traditional crafts from Ishikawa Prefecture. During the off-peak season for cruises, this area is used as an event venue and children's playground.
The second floor features an observation terrace and restaurant nicknamed "Hyakumangoku Marine Terrace (ひゃくまんごくマリンテラス)." Additionally, in the "Kanazawa Port Learning Experience Room," there are experiences like a "boat driving simulator" and a "3D model of Kanazawa Port," where parents and children can learn about Kanazawa Port together. Another highlight is the glass curtain wall that runs along the seaside of the facility, offering a panoramic view of the expansive Sea of Japan.
Every day from sunset until 9 PM, the area around the cruise terminal is illuminated, making it a great place for a stroll both day and night. (※Estimated times for lighting based on sunset: Spring around 6:30 PM / Summer around 7:00 PM / Autumn around 5:30 PM / Winter around 5:00 PM)
