A leisure park that allows you to take in the stunning mountain and sea views.
Details
Located on the expansive Kannonzaki Cape extending into Tokyo Bay, this vast park covers an area of 70.4 hectares. Originally a defensive fortress for Tokyo Bay, it was managed by the Japanese military and was not open to the public, which has preserved many untouched natural landscapes.
At the seaside, visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, beach play, and barbecuing. On the mountain side, there are hiking trails and an "Outdoor Activity Forest" equipped with various playground equipment, as well as the "Umi no Ko Fortress," which features complex play structures and climbing facilities, allowing children to play freely and fully.
Other notable attractions include the "Kannonzaki Lighthouse," Japan's first Western-style lighthouse, and the historic site of the old battery. Nearby cultural facilities such as the "Kannonzaki Natural Museum" and the "Yokosuka Museum of Art" offer opportunities to spend a whole day at leisure.
