The Literary Museum located in the center of Kinosaki Onsen showcases works related to poetry and novels, with a focus on the famous essay "In Kinosaki" by the novelist Naoya Shiga, who stayed here for recuperation and wrote during his stay. In addition to exhibitions featuring writers and works related to Kinosaki Onsen, there are updated displays commemorating the 20th anniversary of the museum's opening in 2016, such as the use of digital electronic boards to artistically present excerpts from "In Kinosaki," which are also worth seeing. In addition to a permanent exhibition that collects historical materials related to past literati and Kinosaki Onsen, the museum also hosts special exhibitions that introduce modern writers and their connections to Kinosaki from unique perspectives. Next to the entrance of the museum, there are foot baths reminiscent of the hot spring streets, which are open for use during weekends and public holidays from 9:00 to 16:30. On the first floor, there is a shop that also serves as a salon, selling books and original products related to "Books and Hot Springs," which can only be purchased in Kinosaki Onsen, as well as beverages that can be enjoyed inside the museum and at the foot baths.
