Located in Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the KIRIN (麒麟) distillery is the only distillery of the beverage and alcoholic beverage company KIRIN, offering a stunning view of the sacred Mount Fuji. Since 1973, it has been dedicated to pursuing the ideal whisky in a cool climate with an average annual temperature of 13°C, frequent fog, and the groundwater from Mount Fuji, all of which are conducive to whisky production. The distillery produces both malt whisky and grain whisky, and it operates a consistent process from brewing to bottling, making it a rare distillery in the world that is highly favored by whisky enthusiasts. During the distillery tour (reservation required), visitors can experience the charm of the distillery through a 3D projection in a theater approximately 12 meters long, and see the actual stills in use. After the tour, guests can sample "KIRIN Single Blended Japanese Whisky Fuji" and "KIRIN Whisky Riku." Additionally, the "Distillery Shop," which does not require a reservation for free entry, offers limited-edition whiskies and original products from the distillery. On the second floor, the "Paid Tasting Area" features exclusive whiskies for tasting.

KIRIN's only distillery offers a view of Mount Fuji ahead. The distillery tour, which includes tastings, is very popular. The "Brewery Store," "KIRIN Forest," "Observation Deck," and "Paid Tasting Area," all of which do not require reservations and are free to enter, are definitely worth a visit.
