Located on a hill at an elevation of 400 meters, this is one of Japan's largest herb gardens. Here, you can see approximately 200 varieties and 75,000 plants of flowers and herbs. The garden is filled with the fragrance of flowers and herbs throughout the four seasons, offering a stunning view of vibrant colors. The expansive area features 12 themed gardens, including the Rose Symphony Garden, Lavender Garden, and Four Seasons Garden, each providing excellent photo opportunities.
The herb garden includes a restaurant serving various herb dishes, a stylish café, and a terrace with beautiful views. Most of the edible herbs and flowers used in the dishes and drinks are grown within the garden. The café "The Veranda 神戸" not only offers a variety of herbal teas but also desserts like buffet and savarin cake, as well as the garden's famous dish, the "布引香草漢堡" (Nunobiki Herb Burger).
In the Aroma Museum, visitors can learn about the history of spices and smell a variety of natural spices. The park offers free herb-guided tours every day, which do not require a reservation to join. Throughout the garden, there are hammocks for resting and free herbal foot baths available for tired visitors. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the Kobe Nunobiki Herb Garden via a cable car from the nearby city area. Along the way, you can enjoy aerial views of the Kobe cityscape and the charming Kobe harbor, making for a delightful journey.

Getting There
Walk for 5 minutes from the Shinkansen / Kobe City Subway "Shin-Kobe" Station to the cable car boarding area "Kousaien Sanroku," then take the cable car to reach "Kousaien Santaku" Station, which takes about 10 minutes.
Hours / Holidays
Open year-round. *The park may close during strong winds or thunderstorms. *The park is closed during the cable car safety inspection period every winter from February to March.
